No More...

Well, my job at Desert Star was short lived...I'm not sure what happened to me but I went into melt-down mode after my first three shifts and just had to quit. I wish I could explain what happened but I can't...as perfect as I thought it would be for me it just wasn't. I still love Desert Star and will always have season tickets!!!

So for now I am helping my mom out and selling plasma. The good news on that front is that I had measles when I was little and so now I have an antibody that they want and I get paid an extra $7.00 dollars per time. WHOOHOO! Maybe they will find other antibodies that they need...it's too bad I'm not rh negative...they pay a lot for those people.

Odds & Ends

Whoohoo! I dropped of my application at Desert Star on Saturday. I got a call on Tuesday, had the interview on Tuesday afternoon and got hired. I start training on Friday! That seemed so easy...I am looking at about 20 hours a week. We'll see how this works out for me! Wish me luck!

I will still sell plasma to keep money in my pocket. My third time was last night and seemed to go better and maybe it will get easier as time goes on. Had a nice conversation with the guy next to me. I donated part of my pay to them with a chance to win a VID pass, which gets you to the head of the line on days you are in a hurry. There are drawing for a lifetime pass, a year pass, some month passes and just a single visit pass. I haven't won anything in a long time, so maybe!

I am trying to win a trip to Disney/Florida for the ABC Soap weekend in November. I have a friend who wants me to go to Disney with her. She thinks she can make it fun for me...so if I win, she can show me the fun!

At the end of the month I am taking a Boomer Belly Dancing Class with a friend. I tried about ten yeras ago and ended up in a class with teeny boppers...not fun, I quit! So this is for "older" people...hope it will be fun! It's an eight week class that starts on the 25th.
